Hi everyone! My name is DAn and I am from Melbourne, Australia. My girlfriend and I have a one night stop over in Santiago, and really want to go to Creamfields party! However my spanish is pretty bad so I cant understand all the information on the web. Can you PLEASE help me with a few questions?
What is the difference between the different types of tickets (general, vip, vip with table)? Is the vip ticket much better or is the normal ticket fine?
We want to buy tickets, but only arrive in Chile on the night of the festival. Can I pick up the tickets at the festival or is there another way I can get them? I am travelling and have no address at the moment…
How far is it from the airport to the festival? And how much does it cost? We arrive about 2000 and fly out early the next morning, but dont want to miss any great DJs!!
Thanks for your help. We will be returning to Chile in December for much more partying, including hopefully Love Parade 2007 if it is on??
the Vip is not much, uhm the basic thing is that there is an especial tend where vip can go.. but the past years i’ve gone with normal ticket… i beleive the vip ticket it’s not worth it.
im not sure if you can buy the same day… if you have someone in here who could buy you the ticket, it’s better…
the festival is not that near the airport.. so you cant walk form one place to the other… i recomend you to take a taxi (cab) (it’s cheap)
and about love parade… they will be announcing soon… so lets hope its a good year =)…
if there is one thing i can tell you it’s.. don’t buy VIP ticket!!! at least for this event, vip is not worthy to pay.. you’ll have a funnier night and save money buying the common ticket, which you can buy on the main entrance. it’s supposed they sell ticket on the place itself because they offer a “door price” .. but if you are going to visit santiago’s downtown you can buy tickets there too in places like Falabella shop and there you might find cheaper prices (i’m not sure if the discount works on the event’s day)
1.- how everybody says Vip SUCKS. You get there only fashion and local DJ´s.
2.- If you arrive at 16:00 you can take a cab to a any Mall and buy the ticket on ticketmaster stand in every FALABELLA (it´s a department store). Tell to a cab driver to take the Highway “Costanera Norte” to “Mall Plaza Norte”. There find Falabella (around 15 minutes of travel from the airport). The place of the party is near to mall plaza norte (on cab around 5 minutes).
Another option is to take Highway “costanera norte” to mall “parque arauco”. Is nicer than plaza norte and surely you can find tickets and good food, coffe i.e.. This place is far from the airport (maybe 30 in cab), and the party is around 25 minutes from that place (you have to take Americo vespucio avenue on north direction).
3.- The travel to the airport from the party site (Cuidad empresarial) is wery quick, 20 minutes at least. You only have to take te providence to ask for a cab early, maybe make a deal with a cab driver from the airport.
All is very easy and well connected by urban highways. I hope you enjoy that short time in Chile.
If you will came on december is possible to realice a South Americcan music Conference with Armin Van Buuren and Richie Hawtin (maybe dec 9th). The love parade is on January.. de firts or second week.
If you have any other question you can send me mail or ask me for msn carlos_arenas@msn.com
I wish my Spanish was a bit better but its a work in progress!
Couple more questions/
Will this event seell/out or can i definately get tickets on the day?
What tmie does the ticketmaster in falabella close? will they definately sell tickets on the day? I had a couple bad experiences in Spain where they only sell tickets until 72 hours before an event…
Thanks so much again and maybe we can meet up ith a few of you on the night!
And superguarango- i am going to see if i can make it over for the conference with richie. Thanks for the tip. Was lucky enough to see him this year at Sonar in Spain and 5 days off in Amsterdam and definately wanting more more more Richie!
1.- Don´t worry, you always can find tickets on gates. The party place is big enough for a lot of clubbers . Cream, in the two previous versions, had ticket store on the main entrance.
2.- Ticketmaters, as well Falabella, is open all day till 21:00 hrs. For another events I buy tickets the same day on ticketmaster without problems. But in the worse case you´ll have to buy tickets on the same party entrance.
Two tips:
If you go to “Parque Arauco” mall, you could find a traffic jam after the 22:00 on the way of the party.
Don´t forget to make a deal with a cab driver to take away from the party to the airport. Could be hard to find a cab free outside of the party. But don´t worry, the cab service is very punctual and reliable.
